Crabby Feast

Let's go and have some crabs...
Huh?
I just want to have some crabs...my exams are coming....
What's Crabs got to do with exams????!!
I just want to have crabs lar...
Since when did crabs become a brain food....
Eating crabs will make stuffs more craP-py...:p
Anyway, touch-wood....and ignore those nonsensical words exchange....just added a little more drama...
Bro just had this sudden craving for crabs one fine day and then we ended up in our regular MGF for a little seafood feast as well...
*They have gone there once or twice for seafood and crabs....so this was my first time.
We used to go to Klang for seafood, but seems that , MGF was also not bad:p*
Without wasting much time, these were what we ordered for the day:
Fried glass noodles (tang-hoon) - a must-have whenever the family go for seafood somehow. It's either glass noodles or vermicelli (mee-hoon)....
Dried Chilli with Bamboo Clams (Kung Pow Teik Than) - Teik Than basically refers to these unique shell creatures....which are known as Bamboo Clams in English.
We usually choose the Kung Pow style which is slightly spicy with those dried red chillies.....this one tasted so-so....
And this was specially ordered by Daddy for PickyEater...the Red Tilapia fish cooked in the signature style..Cheung Jing which is basically steamed style with the fermented bean curd sauce mixed with chilli sauce.
I think you have seen this a couple of times here in this blog....usually ordered whenever we dine outside...:p
This round, the fish tasted good...fresh and tender; guess it was a small fish...
Lady boss picked the right size for us...thanks Lady boss!!~
It was so nice that everyone finished it faster than me....
Finally, the main focus and also the main purpose of the trip....haha....
The Sweet and Sour Crabs....
PickyEater's comment: The crabs look adorable and seem to be swimming in the sauce...look at that little black dot on the left side of the picture...looks like the eyes of the crab...adorable huh?
Mantou to go with the sauce... opted for the steamed mantou instead of the baked ones...just wanted to try it since he said he was bored of the baked ones each time:p
The combination of the dish....PickyEater is a fan of seafood...but somehow, never really fancied crabs....for the following reasons:
1. I don't like to take out the shells...it's HARD
2. I don't know how to take out the shells....it's TOUGH
3. It's messy...
4. It's ugly to make a mess out of it and on myself:p
5. I DON't wanna use my hands...I can do it with chopsticks
6. I hate those little hammers they give us...it makes such a row and the whole restaurant looks at you like some kind of weird aliens from outer space (Okay, that was actually an exaggerated statement and I was just being paranoid...they don't really care....haha...but sometimes, just sometimes, they do:p )
7. Crabs are so adorable (specifically for this round:)
8. I just don't like to do so lar.....
*Really spoilt and picky gal*
Look at what bro found....eggs in the legs...when do you ever see eggs in the leg portion...ermmm, i mean claw portion of the crabs?
That's why we simply have to record this...:p
Fruits, compliments from the restaurant...
Total bill was about RM65++...quite reasonable....
It was all...a CRABBY feast...and let's hope bro does well in his exams~
Good luck dude!!
