I am usually excited when the month of my birthday approaches and I will be in a great mood, so, I even get the luxury of being spoilt on the eve of the day itself, thanks to the people around me!~
This year, I was surprised to a treat of Seafood Buffet Dinner at the new Eastin Hotel in Penang. In fact, the seafood themed buffet dinner was also newly launched at that time and knowing that I love seafood, it was the perfect choice for my pre-birthday celebration.
Swez Brasserie is their in-house coffee house and dining restaurant, and only started their buffet dinners in January.

Due to their new opening, there were eager diners who were there to try out their buffet on Friday night (seafood buffet theme) and there was already a crowd even though we were there early.
Their selection of dishes for the dinner were all seafood-based, in conjunction with their theme and that includes the soup and even their fried rice.
Only the fruits and the desserts are spared from the theme =)
Soups of the day include the seafood chowder and tomato soup.

The mains include everything from fish, prawns, squids, crabs, and even lobster!
Stingray and cuttle fish cooked in rendang style

Mussels; which were disappearing fast albeit the early hours!

Fish

Sweet and sour style

Bamboo clams with Chilli

Calamari with baby bok choy

This is probably the only non-seafood dish; beef with bell peppers

Lobster

Nothing much to look forward to, it was really small but well, what can you say to a RM68++ meal, we can't expect a whole of an Australian live lobster, can we?
Chilli crabs

Curry Prawns

Mussels, with garlic

Scallops

Beancurd with vegetables

Seafood fried rice

You can add variety to your seafood meal; seafood noodles or grilling your seafood

Seafood Noodles Station

Grilled seafood

They even have a fried fish which the chef wil be so kind to cut out for you. (This is the same as Eastin PJ which I have dined in before where their fish is cooked according to different styles; steamed or fried)

I think this is probably the only buffet I have gone to which serves a whole fish like this.
Sashimi

Salads

Cakes and desserts

To be continued....
i am drooling~
