Brasil 68 was located along the Kelawei Road and is one of the fine restaurants.
It looks vacant and quiet from the outside:p
We were early; reaching there at about 6-ish.
We were expecting a simple dinner; you know fine dining and stuffs...But we were surprised by the special weekend offer they have:)
There was actually a Brazilian buffet on Saturday and they told us about the deal...
Appetizers and soups, salads, desserts, tea/coffee are buffet style and then main course will be served by the chef right to your plate.
It was confusing at first as the waiter kept telling us about different courses and then we asked to look at the choices available.
He brought us to the grill station; at the kitchen area...
Back to the buffet..
We were spoilt for salad choices...even the starters were already tantalizing...ooohhh...
Seafood salad:)
Mushroom Salad
Fish Salad
Sauces
Other side dishes....
Actually they seemed pretty much like main courses to me already:p
Desserts choices
Nice settings....
Our food selection
The different sauces served for the main courses later...
Salsa sauce...to go with the fish
Chilli sauce to go with chicken/turkey
Mint sauce...obviously for lamb
And the green chilli (cili padi) sauce for anything (beef)
Our Ice Blended...
We both ordered the Carrot....but one is without milk...
Can you tell the difference?
Fried Potatoes...
DearDear said these were nice
He dipped them into his soup...
To me it's gross...:p
I don't like soups and I do not dip stuffs into soups:p
*No offense meant:p*
These cards were given to us; we are to use them to flag/signal when we are done with the appetizers and to give the green light when we are ready for the main courses to be served and the chef will come forward...
Right now, red mode; still in starters mode...
Me...hehe....
The nice serene scenery...I love this scene...more of it when night falls *winks*
Okay, main course is served
The chef comes and serve us, slicing the portions from a skewer...
Ohhhhh...similar to what I had in Shanghai...also Brazilian style...
But they really do love meat...tell you....
ALL their main courses are BBQ/grilled meat.....
ONLY ONE Fish!!
First round, the chicken....
Next Grilled Dory Fish (the only ONE I took:p)
Next, Turkey....
I didn't take:p
And the chef gave me a weird look...
*Probably insulted that I didn't know how to appreciate his food:p
Sausages...
Beef and chicken....
Also not for me...he's really puzzled now!:p
He's here again...with Lamb
Which I graciously declined again...
Now this is unique...Grilled Pineapple...
I said yes to this one...
Guess what, he was so happy that he told me, "This is very nice"
And he beamed when I took one slice...
Then he asked me, "Do you want another one?"
Haha...he didn't even ask DearDear that....guess he's worried I may be starving since I didn't eat anything!:D
Seriously, it tasted very nice...unique...haha, very nice and somemore I am a pineapple fan anyway;)
Last round; Beef
The interior
So romantic...
But their sister restaurant, 32 The Mansion is even more classy...and as I call it, the "The place for Wedding Proposal"
This is just a simple but nice restaurant:)
Look at the night view in the garden:D
Our table
Fruits
Green card (when our main course is served)..
As long as this is green side up; they will come for another round of serving...
SO if you are stuffed; turn this back to Red:)
DearDear was too stuffed he couldn't sample the desserts anymore:p
He took me some strawberries though...
Total bill came to RM162++...RM60 per pax for the buffet; Rm12 for the Ice Blended and tax, etc...
Not too pricey...considering the atmosphere and the service...
We are definitely keen to come back again:D
