Teluk Gong is one area particularly famous for the seafood; and I have been hearing about this place for some time. I used to go to Pandamaran during my childhood for seafood instead of this; so this is one unexplored area for me.
I had the opportunity to try this place out during one of the outing with my boss and business team from Austria and Italy; my boss recommended this place for the foreigners.
It was a rather isolated area; but was rather popular as well.
It's just like Bukit Tambun; where seafood restaurants reside next to each other.
Due to the sunny weather, all of us ordered chilled coconuts(RM4) to quench our thirst.
I am not a big fan of coconut though:p
Boss did most of the ordering; asking for the more popular items here.
Broccoli with scallops
My FAVE dish!! :) Laced with button mushrooms and scallops (i think), this was really a nice vege dish:D
Deep fried mantis prawns with salted egg yolk
It also was a favorite among the 2 Europeans. The prawns were fresh and fried to perfection.
The most popular dish here was the Fried Mee hoon (vermicelli) with Lala (clams).
The clams were rather small in size and the foreigners asked a rather unique question.
Are these legal? To catch clams these small?
These are illegal in Europe...it may cause imbalance to the ecosystem...
Interesting...we should practise that to ensure eco-balance here:)
Steamed fish; Pomfret (Tau Tay)
The overall bill costs about RM200+ for 4 pax; I find it rather expensive actually compared to other seafood I have tried.
