Continuing from the previous post...

If you do not fancy main courses-style or anything heavy for breakfast (the Oriental style), you can choose to go for simple but yet fibre-laden meals such as bread, pastries, fruits, etc.

Cereals

These are popular among children and adults alike as they even provide the mini crate boxes which was a hit among the children.
It was very thoughtful of the hotel to provide this; and so far, I think I have only been to TWO hotels which had this =)

Yoghurt for a healthy start for the day

There are also light choices from the Chinese section; for instance, Dim Sum and porridge

Cold cuts are available for starters too

Freshly cut fruits (the chefs are standing there to cut fruits for refill on the spot too!)

To quench your thirst, you can opt for coffee or tea from their signature Swiss mugs or you can opt for these wide selection of fresh fruit juices as well

Lassi; a combination of fruit juice and yoghurt can also whet your appetite for the first meal of the day

This is one hotel which offered one of the widest selections of breakfast, besides the other two I have been to.
This is what I truly refer to as first-class and I have to compliment the staffs here for their excellent service and hospitality and for making my stay a memorable one.

It is my second time in this hotel, and I am still impressed as ever! =)
I am definitely looking forward to my next visit here again!~

Singapore trip finale: Breakfast @ Swiss Cafe (Part 1)

This is the last post on my Singapore trip; and the food I have enjoyed at the hotel and during my training.

As with all corporate hotels/trips, the room rates come along with the complimentary breakfast at their in-house coffee house/cafe.

Swiss Cafe is the cafe/restaurant located within the hotel (Swissotel the Stamford)

The cafe, like the hotel, is heavily influenced by the Swiss concept in its design and kept simplicity to elegance.

Service was excellent here and I truly enjoyed the ambience while dining here; I was truly made to feel warm and welcomed every morning.

The buffet spread offered a wide variety of choices for almost all ethnicity/culture around the world.
There are Chinese, Japanese, Western, Indian, Malay selections to ensure that no nation goes hungry during the stay here.

More variety for Breakfast @ Eastin Hotel, PJ (Part 2)

Continuing from the previous post, the choices for your type of breakfast go beyond the typical ones of Western or Continental, but they even have some of those which are not so common (though there are those who do consume them for breakfast)

Putu Mayam

This is a local and traditional delight; where the flour are spun into spider-web likes and into a springy texture.
When you bite into this, it's actually rather tangy in taste and it goes well with white or brown sugar.
This is rarely seen in our contemporary society these days, and it is actually a very cost-effective and healthy choice for breakfast or tea as well.

Seafood Egg custard

This is just your usual Chawanmushi which you see in Japanese restaurants and is a great alternative to your dosage of eggs; if you do not want it to be fried, scrambled or boiled.

There is even this unconventional made conventional breakfast, popular in Klang Valley; Bak Kut Teh

Besides the main and probably carb/protein-loaded choices, there are also the healthy and light varieties to give you that jive to start the day.

To complete a healthy and nutritious breakfast, cut fresh fruits and juices are just the best choices, and may I say, my favorite part of the meal too! =)

Or opt for the fruit cocktail to tantalize your taste buds

This hotel is actually more focused on the business sector as most of their guests are there on business trips rather than for leisure.
Therefore, the environment is rather quiet compared to resort or beach hotels.

I have always loved breakfast buffets as it just solves the problem of having to decide what to eat and you get a tiny bite of everything.

I won't say that this is the best breakfast buffet I have tasted just yet, but at RM38 and when you are on a business trip and you are well fed with the proper and nutritious meal to start your day, what is there to complain?

Have you had your breakfast yet? =)
