Due to the strategic location overlooking the sea view, it is no surprise that this stretch attracts locals and tourists alike to take a nice stroll along this walk.
It is also due to the popularity of this spot which attracted entrepreneur-minded people to set up food stalls and hotels along this place.
The most famous is the Gurney hawker food stall and also Song River coffee shop.
The variety in Song River is enough to make anyone go back more after their first visit.
Even I myself lost count of the number of times I've posted on this place.
Recently, we tried their Claypot noodles which was recommended by the guy who runs the stall
It was an odd idea to have claypot noodles but we went ahead and order for 3 persons
It was great-tasting
Sizzling hot but the noodles were crispy and when soaked in the broth served in the claypot, it was really some good-tasting noodles
Besides the main course, we ordered a plate of mixed vegetables
And also sweet sour prawns
Besides this Song River Siu Chow stall, there are other hawker food stalls
The Otak-otak here is good too
Priced at RM2 per piece, the serving was rather small in portion but it had really nice chunks of fish in it
And I always liked the ice-kacang here, which is only available after 7pm (by the way)
It is a really nice place to dine in; and with families.
Even the foreigners are regulars at this place....can you imagine how famous they are?
