Little Cottage

Little Cottage down Burmah Road was a cosy and comfortable place for casual or romantic dining. The environment in the restaurant is conducive and with the soft music playing in the background, one can sit back and relax themselves and block out all worries on the mind.

It has been sometime since we went for dinner/lunch at this cosy place and since DearDear suggested to come here, we came for dinner (we didn't know where to go anyway) after work last week.
The creamy mushroom soup which came with the set dinner.
If you are looking for thick and creamy mushroom soup, well, you may be a little disappointed as their soup is slightly diluted compared to the thick version of mushroom soup.

As usual, the bread and butter

I was fascinated by the fluffy cheeks of the buns in the basket that I couldn't resist taking a closer shot:)

Orange juice

Too sweet for me....it's not the freshly-squeezed juice but rather the cordial drink which probably had tons of sugar:p

DearDear ordered the Norwegian Salmon Steak set(RM39.90).

Served with asparagus and other boiled vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots), the salmon was not bad with the special sauce they prepared.

As for me, I ordered my favourite Sizzling Sweet and Sour Fish (RM25.90)

I love this dish and it's always the one on my mind each time I am here. It is served with generous portions of cubed capsicum, onions, tomatoes, and even pineapples and the sauce was just sourly sweet and vice versa.

The dessert which came with the set was this Chocolate Fudge cake

Total bill was about RM60++ for the two of us:)
This is definitely a nice place with an English homely feel if you are looking to have a quiet chat with your bestie or loved one.
It's not too hard to find; just go along the Burmah Road and it's actually after the Nine Emperor Gods' temple and before the junction to Nagore Road :)

  1. I have not been to that place... kinda difficult to find a parking that's why have not been visiting. Is it expensive??

  6. new kid, they have another branch in Gottlieb Road (near Botanical Gardens) but I prefer this branch. The food here is not bad and the prices were pretty reasonable. You can park your car after the shop (turn into the junction and on your right there's one parking area for the Aquarium; you just need to pay 40 cents (per Penang rate). Do try it out!! :D

Bestie, YUPS....nothing beats an English interior:D

  9. Been there a couple of times during lunch for their set meal. The atmosphere is really nice, cozy and homely :) The food to me was just so-so but maybe I should venture out from the ordinary fish & chip or chops :P
