TGIF

Finally, after months of existence, I paid the much acclaimed restaurant in town a humble visit:)
And here I am, ended up in TGIF, the one and only outlet in Penang!:)

Being an American diner-style restaurant, one should not be surprised the Country Western influence in the interior design in TGIF restaurant. Similar to her competing counterpart, Chilli's, TGIF was also heavily adorned with all the Western decorative items and also, customers were serenaded with the country western rock songs from the 60's, 70's and early 80's period.

They were having this promotion meal at that time; RM39.90 for an appetizer, entree and also a dessert...we opted for that, since American portion is definitely more than enough to serve 2 or 3!

Our appetizer; the Martini Shrimps!:D

It was actually dipped in some spicy sauce...with sour plums....but the shrimps were really fresh:)
And I particularly loved the presentation and the shrimps with the sauce, yumz!!!:D

This was my soury sweet drink; November something:p It was actually a concoction of soury plum with some berries I think...

And this was his Mint Milkshake...no offense, but it kinda reminded me of my gastric medicine:p

Our main course, the Fish & Chips :)

We opted for this as there's 3 pieces of fish fillets to be shared and plenty of fries for him :D

Fried to a golden crisp brown but the fish fillet was really smooth inside:)

Dessert...the Mud Choc/Fudge....

I didn't try this...coz I am NOT a chocolate fan...weird gal right:p

It seems to be Chocolate ice-cream cake with really thick mousse texture in it...

Total bill came up to about RM65.90 inclusive of drinks and the taxes...but it was certainly filling!

  1. We haven't try their fish and chips before but it sure looks good. The shrimp attracted me more though. We tried their chocolate mousse and coffee ice-cream too! We liked it very much!

  5. The great thing about those is if you're homesick, you can always go to a chain restaurant -- it will be the same as home.
