Porridge Day!

It was one of those days when Mum decided to cook and she chose to cook porridge; on that hot day (when I was coincidentally back in KL:)
When Mum announced she was cooking porridge, I was quiet and then she said, "I know you hate porridge, don't worry, I bought one of your fave fish which was fresh and also your vege:)"
Haha...and I smiled..good ol' Mummy!!
She spent her money to get me these threadfin fish fillets (Ma Yau).

Really brings me back to those old primary school days when Mum always steams fish fillets for my lunch before I go off to school (afternoon session).
It tasted the same except I think portions of the fish was overcooked!:p
**It was a big fish and the texture was thick!*

For the viewing pleasure of meat lovers (since you don't really see lots of meat in my flog:p), this was a plate of roasted pork (Siew Yoke) which Mum bought and stir fried it to go with the porridge.

And vege, Mum fried the lady fingers with chilli paste:)

FRESH and nice!!
I am not good with spicy food and chilli, so I guess it was HOT for me:p

But Mum thought of that as well, and voila, steamed ones for me as well!:D

*I have been complaining that I seldom spot this vege in Penang when I go out for lunch...and Mum hunted them for me and prepare them each time I am home:D

Of course, the main one...
