If you do, then you will definitely know of the various restaurants in that area; and also the fact that there were several steamboat restaurants there.
We went to this steamboat restaurant behind this huge food court (which is hard to miss btw); coincidentally also named Happy City (probably the same owner as the food court).
We ordered the steamboat sets; and topped up on the raw materials.
One thing; it was pretty hard communicating with the staff who were mostly from China (even if you speak Chinese to them, they seemed like they were nowhere on Earth).
Anyway, after much huffing and puffing, we finally got our message across with our orders..PHEW!
Our cooker was filled with soup and started up to boil.
The sauces available on each table
The sets
Consists of dumplings, bean curd sheets, white bean curd, meatballs, fish balls (various types), napa cabbage, seafood bean curd, etc.
Additional order of the vege fishball (fishball stuffed with carrot sticks and celery)(RM6)
Dory Fish fillets (RM8)
It was not too fresh though; and the fish tasted slightly bland:(
Additional vege (RM5)
Pour everything into the soup to cook
The tomyam soup was not bad; spicy and sour; tasted different from the others I have tried:) However, caution, there's plenty of MSG in it:p
If you ever come to Kepong, you can try this place; just right behind the Happy City food court opposite Carrefour. It's the one with blue roof with plenty of food stalls:)
there are many more steamboat restaurants in Kepong area right ? ^_^ wonder which is the best of the best...
