This restaurant was converted from a bungalow to a food business place which opens daily from 11.00am - 11.00p.m.
The interior was conducive with spinning fans above our heads and the whole place was tastefully decorated.
There is an inner section which were dimly lighted for a more quiet and romantic dining experience.
This was the outer section
DearDear ordered the Chilled Tomato Juice (RM5.80)
And he commented that it's weird they were lining the mouth of the glass with salt as tomatoes were not exactly great complements of salt.
I had a Chilled Pineapple juice (RM4.80) which tasted suspiciously like tomato juice and even had the scent!
Take note that I didn't sip the Tomato juice nor ate any tomato before this drink...
Anyway, I just find it a little weird:p
We ordered an appetizer; Hainan Spring Rolls (RM15)
It was stated in the menu that it only contained mushrooms, crab meat and vege and DearDear went ahead and ordered it.
It had a fragrant scent and tasted not bad...
Then we realized there were tiny minced meat....DearDear discovered it and told me...so I leave it to him....luckily i only took a tiny bite:)Sorry ya, PickyEater is not a meat-eater:p
The accompanying sauce was slightly spiced with sliced onions and chillis; and tasted slighly spicy and sour:)
For main, I ordered a simple Fish & Chips (RM16)
It was really oily and frankly, this must be one of the worst I have tasted.
The fish tasted really bland and I can only say it's oily, oily and oily and really, disappointing Fish & Chips:(
DearDear went Oriental and ordered Assorted Seafood Teppanyaki(RM29) to ensure that I eat more:)
I find this rather pricey and unworthy as there were a small amount of seafood; compared to the actual Japanese restaurants!! (So far my fave is Jurin Jap restaurant in Pulau Tikus)
Nothing to scream about; again, the food was really bland:(
The total bill was about RM70++ which I feel it was not worth a single cent as nothing suit my taste bud:(
And DearDear was apologizing for the bad food experience which of course was not his fault and I was truly thankful for the thought to celebrate my Birthday's Eve!!!
Thanks DearDear!!~
Oh, too bad!
ReplyDeleteCeline, yaya, but it's ok:) It's not the actual day....hehe, stay tune to more pics (and food:) on the actual day:D
ReplyDeletesorry to hear bout the bad food experience. i experienced the same thing as well. i treated my friends to my belated bday dinner over summer garden too. the food was blant, i ordered the marinara pasta and its rather tasteless, i think the hainan spring rolls and the calamari we ordered was the most edible for that dinner.
