CNY Reunion

Sorry for the delayed posting on the CNY dinner!!
I have been really busy lately, working on different stuffs and lots of stuffs to settle on.
Anyway, I am sure everyone had had an enjoyable New Year celebration with friends and families and definitely loads of angpows and also good food:)

One of the common practice is the Steamboat feast which is typically served during the reunion dinner or throughout Chinese New Year due to its auspicious characteristics in keeping the fire burning and "ONG" (as translated from Hokkien.

To me, it's been a truly common practice in my granny's house to have steamboat every year.

P.S.: We got tired of steamboat (after 3 continuous days of steamboat for almost every meal) that even the mere mention of steamboat sent us hiding!!

    I love nga ku! (the arrowhead crisps). I didn't have steamboat this cny around because my mom says always got left over. I miss it though after looking at the pot boiling with fishballs and seafood.. nyamm~
