I have been really busy lately, working on different stuffs and lots of stuffs to settle on.
Anyway, I am sure everyone had had an enjoyable New Year celebration with friends and families and definitely loads of angpows and also good food:)
CNY Cookies everywhere!!
One of the common practice is the Steamboat feast which is typically served during the reunion dinner or throughout Chinese New Year due to its auspicious characteristics in keeping the fire burning and "ONG" (as translated from Hokkien.
To me, it's been a truly common practice in my granny's house to have steamboat every year.
All the food for steamboat or HOT Pot
My favourite Enoki Mushrooms!
More raw fish, meat and dumplings
In the Hot SOUP!
All boiling and ready to EAT! A surefire sign of continuous luck and prosperity for the year!
P.S.: We got tired of steamboat (after 3 continuous days of steamboat for almost every meal) that even the mere mention of steamboat sent us hiding!!
I bet after posting these you were wishing to have some of it :) I know I am :)
