14th of February was a meaningful day to shower your loved ones with kindness and appreciation; a token of reminder and a special day to remind them of your fond love.
This lovely day was not meant alone for lovebirds but also for your families, friends who falls in your circle of loved ones.
For me, this year was especially memorable since DearDear and I will be distant from each other for a while. Thus, my surprise was when DearDear called me and told me that he was on his way to KL to meet me on Valentine's Day morning!
This was just so sweet and romantic of him!!
We spent the afternoon in The Curve; since DearDear is not familiar with the roads in KL.
After wandering around the Street, we decided to try out The Apartment for lunch as it looked rather cosy and hidden from the glaring sun.
The interior design of The Apartment was just mediocre; nothing to wow about although the dim lightings and the cushioned chairs at the corners of the restaurants really exuded the comfortable environment.
I ordered a Strawberry Chiller (RM8.50) which was too sweet and fizzy for my taste! Rather disappointing (for me) that I couldn't enjoy my drink:(
I ordered the Mediterranean Fish Wrap (RM26.50) which consists of fish chunks and mashed onions with sauce wrapped.
It was pretty tasty and I find it light and pleasing for the afternoon.
DearDear ordered the Smoked Salmon Sandwiches (RM24.50) which was served with thick slices of smoked salmon with 2 slices of wholemeal crusts, butter and leafy vegetables.
And these were the complimentary chocolates in conjunction with the festive Valentine's Day.
I find the food in The Apartment on the average; nothing much to shout about.
However, all that matters was the mood and joy with your loved one on this joyous day. Furthermore, it was also the day of our anniversary, that's double festivity for us!:)
DearDear also bought doughnuts for the family from Big Apple Donuts; such a delight:)
Everyone enjoyed the sharing of love and happiness on this wonderful day!
How was your Valentine's, fellow friends?
As long as can spend time with the loved ones, the food is the secondary factor, right?
ReplyDeletei heard food here is expensive....
ReplyDeleteI've had a date there once, and while I must say the food and drinks didn't excite, it was early enough that there weren't too many patrons and the lighting does help create a semi-romantic atmosphere... no? ;)
