Great ribs and salad @ Chicago Ribs

Located along the alresco dining area of Gurney Plaza is this addition of a bistro-like restaurant which served really good ribs.

It is one of the latest American franchise chain restaurant to join the list of the likes of Chili's, TGIF in Malaysia, or the very least, in Penang.

Taking the place of Manila place which was originally located in this same spot, the name of this place itself suggested that their specialty was definitely no spot for the vegetarians or meat-shy groups.

They originate from the same chain as Tony Roma's; the place famous for ribs themselves and therefore it is no surprise that most ribs lover would expect the most of Chicago Ribs as well.

I have been here thrice, and we have not ventured out of our staple favorites yet as ever since we came here and tried the recommended items on the menu, we never got tired of it yet! =)

Oriental Salad (RM17.90)

As the name suggests, this salad is a unique concoction of sesame and ginger dressing to the usual toss of greens in the likes of lettuces, carrots, and capsicum with fried wonton skin.
One can either opt for the salmon or the chicken serving.
No prize for guessing which was my pick.

I absolutely love the fresh combination of this salad and the delicious dressing just kept my fork going at the salad for more.
It was a unique and refreshing option to the usual salad dressing and the sweet and slightly tangy dressing just made it all the more appetizing!

Blackened Fish (RM18.90)

This is another unique option on the menu if you want to break away from the ribs-mood in the air once in a while when you are here.
The fish fillet was lightly grilled before being marinated with some spices; coating it in an exciting taste in black.
It may look as though it had been charcoal burnt when one first sees it, but one bite would get you hooked ;)

The main star or highlight of this place is the Ribs, of course, and you can choose from either half-rack (RM36.90) or full-rack (RM45.90).
The BBQ ribs is definitely a top favorite for all ribs lover

The ribs were marinated and barbecued to perfection, and was definitely a winner, with the succulent and juicy taste of the ribs with the excellent mix of the gravy.

I also love the lightly steamed broccoli by the sides of the main course.
(You can choose your sides from a list)

Like Chili's, Kids can eat free here too!

For future reference, they also have the Wagyu beef burger

This is a great place to dine with family, friends or just to enjoy a good afternoon's lunch.
The service here is just awesome, and personally I feel that this is a more of a good value for money compared to the other American chain restaurants and the environment is just a treat for a nice conversation with your company.
A great place to chill out and enjoy great food and hospitality =)
