We went to Johnny's for a quick dinner (since it was halal). It was not as crowded as my previous visits and we found ourselves a little spot tucked away in the corner of the restaurant as we were not having the steamboat set.
It is rather hard to choose from the menu, ain't it?:D

This is one of my favourite drink here; Guava with Soursop juice.
Priced at Rm4.90, it is really an invigorating drink for me and I just loved soursop:D
Fadz ordered this Thai-styled Koay Teow (flat rice noodles) with broth.
I didn't try it since there were slices of chicken in them but according to Fadz, the soup was cooked with herbs and it wasn't too thick or diluted. Since she wasn't feeling really well (cold and sore throat), she found it to be enticing:)
As for me, I ordered this Tomyam Meehoon(vermicelli) served in the Thai-style soup with Enoki mushrooms, prawns and vegetables (RM7.90)
Tastewise, I must say it was a little disappointing and I have tasted much better Tom Yam than this.
This was the first time I have actually tried their ala carte after 3 rounds of steamboat here during my last visits. Personally, I think the food here is on the average; but it may differ according to every taste buds:)
If you are looking to check it out in Queensbay, it is definitely an easy one as you take the escalator from the centre court all the way down to LG and there, right smack next to Wong Kok:D

ReplyDeleteI have to remember next year when guava and soursop are in season to try the combo in a drink. Each fruit by itself has a strong flavour, did the two meld together well? Did not over power the other?
