The Reason I was away...

Hello everyone!
It's been a while since I was away, and I am sorry that I haven't been able to get to updating my blog lately although I was 'supposedly' back in action during the last post.
Anyway, it was an unexpected family call as a loved one; my aging grandmother was admitted to the hospital and her condition turned critical.
It was a very testing and trying time for the whole family as we made our daily trips to the hospital and praying for her recovery.

It was a humbling sight to see the number of sick and frail people in the hospital, praying for their own recovery. I was lost in my own thoughts; to pray for my own grandmother and also for everyone who is not well and yet humbled by the thought that no matter how rich or powerful you are, no one can truly guarantee that their wealth and power included health.

My grandmother had been battling with her own sickness and hospital admissions for close to three years already, and the past two weeks to a month, for us, were spent in the hospital; from early mornings to late nights (in shifts).
I will be posting on the full story in my personal blog
(feel free to read if you are interested to know more about it)

I will be posting on food soon, as I am back, and I thank everyone who was patiently waiting for updates on this blog.

Love,
Christy aka Pickyeater
